After a good long while and countless requests, Serato are stoked to announce that ITCH will now support Whitelabel file playback! Thanks mostly to our super cool record labels who were all into the idea, ITCH DJs now have acccess to hundreds of free promotional tracks right here at Whitelabel.net.
“Whitelabel.net has been an amazing resource for our Scratch Live DJs for a while now,” explains General Manager Sam Gribben, “it’s very exciting to be able to extend this offer to ITCH DJs. Whitelabel.net is gaining support from a range of professional DJs, using a variety of platforms, which is invaluable for the participating labels.”
The support comes with the new ITCH 1.1 update, which is a free download for all DJs here.
One of the most interesting releases on Whitelabel.net in recent times comes from BBE Records and Phantogram, a two piece band from New York.

The cat is out of the bag about our new scratch record Serato Pressing "Shibuya Breaks". We've received the test pressing, approved it and sent it off into the wide world to become a big, bad pressing.
And this morning, Scott let the news about the colours slip on the forum. That's right COLOURS! The official word from Stokyo:
STOKYO - Shibuya Breaks will be produced in 2 brand new colours - Smoke and Cobalt Blue. Shibuya Breaks will also be produced in Black Vinyl and White Vinyl. Quanities and Pre-order links to be confirmed very soon.
So keep your eyes peeled for the pre-order button going up, I'm sure we will give everyone plenty of notice. Follow us on Twitter, if you haven't already, to keep up to date on details of new pressings. We were hinting the other day about SP005 - what could it be?
For the record (mind the pun), here are the pressings and catalogue numbers so far:
Mad Decent - SP001 - Diplo & Blaqstarr: Get Off [SOLD OUT]
Ninja Tune - SP002 - The Qemist: Dem Nah Like Me
Jazzman Records - SP701 - Mr Clean: What's Going On
Plant Music - SP003 - Tittsworth: WTF [Pre-orders soon!]
Stokyo - SP004 - Shibuya Breaks 12'' [Pre-orders soon!]
EDIT: Update on the colours - here's what the Smoke and Cobalt Blue look like:
Long time beta tester Jordan Laws sent me this video mix he had put together (rather well if you ask me) using Video-SL. This video really shows how you can benefit from doing some pre-production on custom visuals.
I can imagine if I were to see this at a gig, it would distract me from dancing and I'd stand there staring at the screen, kind of half waving my arm, hypnotized by the visuals. Way to go Jordan. Check out the video:
You can also check the video out in high quality on his website here.
