I showed up today, walked into my office that I share with Scott and we realised we were wearing the same t-shirt! Oh dear. Normally, in the Serato office, if three people show up wearing the same t-shirt, they have to do a song and dance. Thank goodness it was only two of us.

Hold on. Scott's wearing jeans too. And Chucks.

Some amazing videos from the Roc Raida Tribute in New York. Roc Raida was a master of the turntables and a great friend to many, including the Serato & Rane family. Rest in peace.

First up The Beat Junkies:

Routines from DJ Z-Trip, and DJ Scratch after the jump.

Not really our thing here in NZ, but it's a big deal in the States and elsewhere. I actually made my first pumpkin pie the other day, not a bad little dish.

Check this cool Halloween mix Jordan Laws made with Video-SL:

We thought it would be a cool idea to start making monthly mixes from Whitelabel.net tunes. A few of the WL DJs have already been doing this, so we decided to step up our game and jump on the bandwagon. There's be a new radio show every month featuring tunes from Whitelabel.net that may have already downloaded, or may not even know about. There'll also (hopefully) be an interview with an Artist/DJ each month.

This month's features a chat with Detroit native and current New-Zealand resident Recloose, who talks a bit about how he made it to our country in the first place, his influences and what's coming up for him.

Have a listen! Go on. Listen button thingie, playlist and links to downloads after the jump :)

Electric Wire Hustle are a trio from Wellington, New Zealand who have just released their amazing self titled debut album. Developing their own sound and twist on modern hip-hop, psychedelic and soul, the music of EWH reaches forward while referencing key points of music's past. Thick drums and percussion layered with synth lines, hints of the Fender Rhodes and nylon stringed guitars have your neck snapping while your ears crane to its soulful vocals.

Their first single Perception is available for download right here on Whitelabel.net!

For people in Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris - if you dig this music, the boys are playing gigs on the 8th, 10th and 16th October respectively. Details can be found here. If you want to go, leave a comment below and I'll hook you up with a door pass - it's that easy! And if you want to leave a normal comment, that's OK too :)

While you're at it, check out their latest video:
